Corfe Mullen, a village 3 miles SW from Wimborne and 8 SE from Blandford. The church, an ancient one, has recently been repaired and enlarged. In pursance of a benefaction bread and cheese is distributed to the poor every Sunday, not exceeding the value of £18 per annum. The parish comprises 2917 acres and had in 1841, a population of 758. Post Office, at William Holloway’s. Letters arrive at 7a.m. and are dispatched at 7pm.
