This is the last Will and Testament of I Joseph James Senr of Haselbury Bryant in the County of Dorset being of a sound mind and disposing memory
ffirst I give and bequeath unto my eldest Son Joseph James the three Grounds in Winston Causeway called Common Close and Dunford and Park Close to he and his heirs for ever nevertheless subject to the payment of eight pounds P Annum to his mother during her natural life
Also I give and bequeath unto my Second Son Philip James my dwelling house Orchard and Garden and Premises thereunto belonging and also the field called Church Cross and Bullbrooks and the two leases in the Common to he and his heirs for ever nevertheless subject to the payment of eight pounds P Annum to his mother during her natural life And also the right of abiding in the dwelling house if she thinks proper
And also I give unto my Son John James the annual Sum of eight pounds P Annum during his natural life but not to commence till after his mothers decease to be paid out of a field called Bullbrooks now left to his Brother

And also to my Daughter Hannah James I give the monies due to me at the Sherborne Savings Bank No 964 for her own Proper use and benefit but not till she arrive at the age of twenty one years & also my Silver Tea Pot and stand and also to my Youngest Daughter
Emma James I give my Watch and Cream Jug and I hope her mother will do some thing for her from her own Private Property
And I give to my dear and ffaithful Wife all and singular my household Goods and ffurniture at her own will and disposal and stock of Cider and Cash
And also I do hereby nominate and appoint my two eldest sons Joseph and
Philip James the sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth Day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirty four
