Inventory for Edward Parker of Fordington
17th October 1661

©Transcribed by Michael Russell OPC for Fordington from CLDS Film 1067158 May 2008.

Note:- A copy of this Inventory can be found in the Calendar of Dorset Wills and Administrations in the Salisbury Probate Court: Ref A/1661/1/3 or the Wiltshire & Swindon Archives Ref P/15/3 and can be purchased on line.

The image I have is out of focus and poor quality. A better image may now be available from one of the above and if anyone has obtained one I would appreciate a copy to improve this transcription. I have done the best I can but names and amounts should be checked. I have provided a link to my Glossary of 17th century terms and in some cases example pictures of the items mentioned.

Genealogical Notes:-

(1). This Inventory of Goods would have been drawn up on application for Letters of Administration to enable the next of kin to take possession of his estate but these do no appear to have survived. The Parish registers for Fordington for the whole of the period 1640 to 1663 have also not survived

(2). There is a baptism recorded in Fordington for Edward the son of Edward PARKER on 29th Sepotember 1639.
