WHITE: In the name of God Amen the viijth [7th] day of April AD 1576:

I Elinor WHITE of Fordington, of the peculiar jurisdiction there, do make my last Will & Testament in manner and form following:

First: I do bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator and redeemer my body to be buryed in the churchyard of Fordington aforesaid.

Also I do give unto brother John WHITE xxxs [30 shillings] and to my brother Ambrose WHITE eldest daughter xxxs [30 shillings]

Also I do give unto my sister Agnes one heifer bullock, one skillett, one chasen? dish and half my linen clothes.

Also I do give unto Thomasine GYLLE one bussell coat and to Dorothy ASHE one red cape

Item: I do give unto Johas GOLDE one platter and one candle stick

The rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable I do give unto Maryan COLLOM whom I make my executrix of this my last Will & Testament. These being Witnesses hereunto Ambrose HUNT and Thomas TEDMAN


PROBATE of this written testament of Helinore WHITE deceased of the parish of Fordington Impremis: ------ 21st day in the month of May Ad 1576.

    The Inventorie of all and singular the goods and chattels of Elynor WHITE deceased late of the parish of Fordington in the County of Dorset taken a praised by Ambrose HUNT and Thomas WYNDSOR the 21st day of May AD 1576.
Impremis in ready money remaining in the hands of Ambrose WHITE --- £3
Item: One heifer bullock --- 13 shillings and 4 pence
Item: One skillett --- 12 pence
Item: One chaffing dish --- 12 pence
Item; one Crocke --- 12 pence
Item: an old ?ell Petywte? --- 12 pence
Item: half of all her linen --- 12 pence
Item: one platter and one candlestick --- 16 pence
Item: one Cow --- 10 shillings
Item: one brass pan --- 18 shillings
Item: the residew of her linen --- 12 pence
Sum Total - £5. 8s. 8d.
