They had two children baptised at All Saints (1) Eveline Mary Lock bap 29th Sep 1877 (2) Henry Osmond Lock bap 30th July 1879 who also became a Solicitor and articled Clerk. Arthur died 6th Nov 1900 leaving an estate of £6,688.1s.10d to his widow. Emma died on 14th April 1920 with probate for her estate of £1,659.12s.7d going her her only son.]

    He was probably in Dorchester at the invitation of the Rev Henry Moule, Vicar of Fordington, who regularly put up prominent clergy in his vicarage where they debated the issues of the day. Henry whose family came from Melksham in Wiltshire where his father was a prominent Solicitor and banker was educated at Marlborough Grammer School and Marlborough College was founded in 1843 to educate the sons of the clergy. Although founded in 1843 the Chapel designed to accommodate 500 boys opened this year (1848).
